Walks
We normally walk every first Sunday in the month. Walks are around 6/8 mile in length, medium difficulty, always ending up with a Sunday meal.
Some walking groups are expensive to join but we only charge £1 per walk to cover admin expenses. Any surplus is put into the social fund so the cost always returns to the members.
New members are welcome to the first walk FREE of charge. The £1 fee is charged from the second walk.
We try to maintain a 6-month schedule of walks.
Next Walk
Sunday - 5th September 2010. Railway Children Walk, Oxenhope.
A 7/8 mile medium walk meeting at the Dog and Gun pub on the B6141 before Oxenhope.
Directions:
From Bradford: Suggest the A644 through Queensbury; after couple of miles take left and right at lights onto A629 signposted Keighley. Continue down hill past Denholme sign and right hand bend (salt pile on right) turn very sharp left onto B6141 for Oxenhope. Continue quite a way on here and you will find the Dog & Gun pub on your right before Oxenhope. Park in the bottom car park.
From Halifax: Take A629 toward Keighley. Where A644 joins above follow the instructions to car park. BD22 9SN sat.nav or try www.streetmap.co.uk

Try a Splinter walk
Walks are undertaken with the usual warnings. Clothing and footwear suitable for the prevailing conditions should be worn. Members are also personally responsible for their own safety as the leader individually and the group as a whole can't be held liable for accidents or loss.
